does anyone know of a good app on the iPhone for gps tracking ?  I am trying to log the motorcycle ride speed etc and show it on google map type of deal.  (I saw an app on the andriod that when you hit play it will show you on google map your speed etc as it follows your route).  Thank you.

(saw the MCN Ride Logger but not sure about how good it is.  Hard to tell from the reviews).

Check out Evertrail  free app for smart phone's
You can also take photos during the trip and they will automatically load on to
the app so when you share it online photos will come up at the segment of trip to view.
The graph shows destination average speed top speed worth a look and waytogo its FREE
Go to itunes app store hit search.

Also try GPS MotionX.  Will give you lots of options and has worked pretty well for me.

Excellent thread!

GPS'ed was similar but I got a hacked f/b by doing something stupid (never successfully used it on the moto).

Using MapMyRide but it's better geared towards bicycle.
Stretched my datapoints out to a couple miles each on the last half of a long loop in the Adirondacks.

I'll give Everytrail a shot.

U got an accessory plug on the Duc?

Tried a few apps so far, unless I am missing something they suck.

I wish the $39 app I use for navigation by garmin navigon did what I am looking for.

That app in android by google I think "my track" is way too awesome.

Please keep the recommendations coming .

+1

i haven't fully used it yet.  but, i turned it on during last weekend's ride, which i unfortunately had to turn around and come back b/c [1] my bike was acting up and [2] one of the riders crashed.

so, i doubled-back by turning around in the middle of the street (no traffic.  country road).  when i inally got home and thought to check if the app tracked well, it was so accurate it perfectly tracked my u-turn from one side of the narrow road to the other!  i was impressed, but more testing is in order.
