So I finally figured out where the rubber pads I keep finding on my garage floor are coming from.  Apparently, they've been shrinking and falling out from between the fins on my engine.

Sooo, how important?  They're no longer large enough to go back in, are they important enough to order replacements?  WTF do they do?  I would guess they would actually impede cooling.

TIA

Just let them keep falling.

They're there to quiet fin ring.

I kind of figured.  With my RoadRacing exhaust, I'm not going to be troubled by a little "fin ring."   [laugh]

btw, my man, I get compliments on the Monster wherever I go.  When I finish the electrical mods this winter, I'm going to do a write up.
