And to the guy who said the Termi kits for the new Monsters were cheaper than comparable aftermarket solutions (Termi kits are sold by Ducati dealers, so not aftermarket as some assume) - I'll need you to prove that to me before I believe you. Termignoni is notoriously and offensively expensive. Almost like it's mafia controlled. Vive la Ducati reverse-engineering, and long live the aftermarket! Trust me once you shell out 3.5k for a Termi kit you will wonder why in the hell they cost so damn much.

I'm speaking about the Termi slipons for the 696/796/1100.  Here's the math:

carbon Termi's: ~$1,450
carbon Arrow/Leo Vince/etc + ECU reflash + air filter: ~$800 + ~$615 + ~75 = $1,490

But anyway, its a moot point coz there are many manufaturers of after market cans who claim that their slipons require no additional fuelling mods.  So a pair of Leos can be yours for what.... $800?  I'm not saying this is the best option, but it is a less costly option to Termis by far.

Exactly.  I used the Rexxer pricing.

Sure, but if you're going to compare the cost of Termi's to something, you have to compare it to a similar system, not just the cans.

Sure, but if you're going to compare the cost of Termi's to something, you have to compare it to a similar system, not just the cans.

Why do you? If you want Termi cans then you must buy the whole package.  Its arguably a more complete outcome but it comes at greater cost.  If you're looking for a far less costly solution, then there are many other cans-only options. 

$1400 for the Termi can set...

$421 for Jeff's Leos...

I can compare that and conclude that you can (later if finances dictate) buy a whole lot of air filter and fuelling adaption for $1000 

And I love my Termi setup.... I'm just sayin.... there's cheaper options which can get to a similar outcome by degrees.

Last time I checked Christian and Spareshack both were offering just a Rexxer flash for that. I doubt that anyone has anything for a 796 yet.
