WSBK itself is on Sunday the 27th of Feb.

It would be good to be there on Friday the 25th I'd reckon. So if there's a road trip involved, perhaps an early start on the Wednesday, stay overnight half way, then arrive at the Island on Thursday afternoon?

Coming home you'd probably leave on the Monday morning, and get home by Tuesday arvo.

Yeah,  that is the plan. We are most likely going to get a package deal incl accomodation. (there's even a package that includes a track day on the monday  Grin)
look here ->http://www.premiumseats.com.au/downloads/phillip-island-superbike-ticket-packages.pdf we are probably going to go with the advantage plus pit roof package.

Steve, the afterburner day after wsbk has been told to me by some to be a little interesting..... lots and lots of bikes there, and perhaps too many bikes on the track at once.... I'm told there are better days to do at PI.

Having said that, I've done two tours to motoracing mecca at PI for thr wsbk - it's a great trip there and back... and the racings good as well - good weekend for it, less people, cheaper accom.

Now sure if I can do it this year, but I'd be happy to look up the accom we got last time - it was awesome and could easily accomodate 10-12 and (especially if you have that many) is very reasonably priced.

I would love to do it, just that I cant plan that far out at this stage, actually the last time I was there was in 2008 so I'm probably due for a return to the track.

And the accomodation Goldie had was quite good.
