VERY sad to hear!  We have so many dipshit drivers here it's crazy!!  It's worse now since we have all the tourists and snowbirds back for the winter months.   boo

Last month, I went through an accident scene on I-10.  There was a car that was mangled and an SUV that was turned around.  My first thought..that's odd, how did it get turned around like that??  When I arrived at work, I found out that before sunrise..the drunk driver of the SUV entered the highway going the wrong way and killed the two girls in the car.  Angry

Unfortunately, it happens everyday here around PHX!

this is why, when my daughter decided to go to school in PHX, I told her there was no way she was taking her car!  My parents are living in the area, between their horror stories & what I've seen myself down there, there was no way.  And I log 30-40k miles in the Northeast!

Save the brass...

just heartbreaking to hear... everyday on the radio I hear at least three "motorcyclist down" incidents on the traffic reports.  Los Angeles drivers are the worst.

And people wonder why I have this sticker on my helmet...   Roll Eyes

Maybe it pisses drivers off, but maybe it gives some food for thought.

I won't hold my breath, though.  Lips Sealed

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

It's dangerous everywhere, but Phoenix seems to be more so than most places.  My time there was hair raising.

Sad to hear my thoughts go out to the husband. As a serving military member(Canadian, but we are all brothers in arms), just having returned from that place, I can't imagine what the husband is feeling, I hope he has some very supportive friends and family.

Sad to hear!  AZ...One of the only places you have to worry about being run over by methed out truck drivers and getting hit by drunk drivers on a regular basis all while sitting perfectly still. . Apparently you can never stop at a stop light if you ride a motorcycle in AZ, cause that is where all of these tragic and pointless motorcycle fatalities happen. ...Perfect I'm glad I'm moving to Texas..

We were out with his brother, Larry "landshark", a couple months ago.  It seems like his brother moved up the NW, bought a house and land and is doing well.  I don't recall allthe details.  I'm sure Randimus can fill you in.

Kinda late reading this post. What an awful and sad story. I ride to work in Phoenix and I gotta tell you that no matter what you do, sometimes some caggers just DON'T see you. I hear often that Phoenix is one of the worst places to ride, but back in Indonesia was even scarrier. My heart goes to the husband and the child.
