So... I picked up a S4R Termi slip on kit for my S2R1K.

It came with the Termis, DP ECU 96511603B and Airbox top/filter.      I knew the pipes and airbox would fit.

I ended up plugging the ECU in (I hope that didn't code it to my bike, the red key was no where near the bike) and the bike starts but idles a little high, (2k) seems to run ok other than that.  It may have just been cold, I blip the throttle and it settles down to a normal idle for a few seconds then climbs back to 2000rpm

My questions are.  Do you think I can run this ECU with a TPS reset?

Should I sell the ECU and get an S2R1000 ECU (96517406B?) or an FIM or a PCIII?

Did I code the ECU to my bike since I plugged it in?

I'm not 100% sure - but my gut says no. You're running an ECU from a watercooled 4 valve engine on an air cooled 2v.  I'd expect it to work ok at idle and at the very bottom end... but I forsee issues as you running the engine up in the RPMs. And I bet someone who knows a bit more than me will find even more faults with this plan.

Just spoke to Kyle at Seacoast and he said advised that as long as I didn't put the Red key in that the ECU is still "Virgin"

He said it won't run well and I should/can get it reflashed.   He also said I could get the stock ECU reflashed as well, but I could run it without the 02 sensor for now.

Looks like I am going to have an S4R Race ECU up for sale.
