motocycle-superstore.com has the tires for a very good price (thanks Duc750). But the local installer that they recommend charges $100 of a front and rear installation. That sounds high to me. I'm in Spartanburg, SC and I can't find too many MC tire installers around. I was think $50-$70 for an install. Am I being unreasonable?

You can go to just about any moto mech out there, you don't have to go to a recommended tire installer. Do you know any other moto shops out there? I think I only paid $60 for my install, not that that helps you any. See if they charge less if you just bring the wheels in, if you're mechanically inclined you can remove the wheels yourself. It's less work for the shop and therefor they charge a little less for the install.

I need to check around for an independent mech. $40 is a lot.
