Is it possible to connect the Injectors wrong way round?

The connectors are the same so it could be possible to connect injectors 180degree out of phase ,

what would happen?

I tried that years ago, when my ECU was flaking out.

The engine ran, but poorly.
Didn't ride it.

The wires are marked "O" and "V" on my '02 S4.

I had my PC3 injector plug backwards, and it ran like poop.  Rode it like that for about 20mi to the dyno.  I just thought it didn't like all the mods all at once. Flipped it, and all was good.

Thats OK then as my  S4 is running OK , but has no marks on the connectors .its a little hesitant off idle but as the TPS is OK I reckon its down to a sloppy throttle cable cable with too much slack as its fine everywhere else in the rev range
