I really wish you would stop doing this. Californians are a plague in Austin. They get fed up with the expenses and overregulation in Cali, so they move to Austin and legislate and drive up the prices.

And the New Mexicans.  Maybe its around california that a wall should be built. They ruined their state, stay the hell out oif ours.

The issue at hand would be that of regulations adopted in light of unqualified research

Which indeed sucks and is unfair. Ridiculous even. Truly dumb on the part of the regulating authorities. Can't argue that. Still not a reason condemn an entire state.

There are other vehicles that could do the job of this one. It is a want not a need. CA didn't ban ambulances and firetrucks. Its a want not a need. The regulators were trying to control harmful emissions. They just make the beast with two backsed up in this case. But it is certainly not a reason to condemn an entire state.

this directly affects emissions standards of the transportion industry

Truly a bummer considering how much shipping is done within and through CA.

which is a significant source of inflation

Again, that sucks and the regulators and inept at best or corrupt at worst.

Actually, all of those you mentioned stay put. The ones that move are the self-important, self-aggrandizing, useless, holier-than-thou Brian Ws that drove your great state to bankrupcy and give you all a bad name

If Cali was actually concerned about pollution...

why don't they regulate the emissions of the thousands of ships that enter the ports daily?

I could still buy a 2 smoker if anyone was paying attention...
