I'm trying to trace an issue with the ST3. the battery was dead last night, or at least dead enough to not start.
I charged it overnight and tested it at 12.6 volt and did a 100amp load test on it where it dropped to 9v and it recovered at 11.9 volts after the test. I would think the battery is OK? Anyone have any ideas on the load  and where the recovery should be?

look to page 13 for the test.

Basically it says the test should be performed at 3x the aH rating or 1/2 the cca rating of the battery.

The recovery voltage you reported does sound pretty good, but is dependent on the correct load and temp..

Thanks DP, based on that chart you provided. if the load was correct the battery is supposedly bad.
it dropped to 9v and shouldn't have dropped below 9.5v.
I'll go check and test it again to make sure the load is 3x the rated amp hours and check the temp and voltmeter.
