Hello Everyone,

I hope that I'm posting this introduction properly, if not, please forgive me as I am a fifty-one year old computer-challenged grandfather. I've been riding motorcycles since 1971, when I got my first minibike. I've owned around twenty bikes now, including a Honda 900F Supersport, V-Max, and Honda Transalp. I currently own a Honda XR250R, Kawasaki KLR650, a Suzuki 650 V-Strom, and a slightly used 2007 S2R Monster. The Monster is my most recent purchase, and is probably my answer to the midlife crisis issue. I've always wanted something special and a bit exotic, and the S2R seemed like the perfect Ducati to start with due to it's relative mechanical simplicity compared to some other models. I recently found out about the plastic tank problem, and am interested in learning as much about the problem and how to deal with it as possible. I'll be posting some information and questions about it in the near future. If any of you are RoadRUNNER magazine subscribers, I've been in the magazine a few times, and am currently writing a series of articles on motorcycle camping for use in the coming year's issues. If any of you are in the the southeastern Ohio area, let me know so we can comare favorite roads.
