Marving mid-pipe install

I've searched the forums and don't see anything on this.

I got the marving mid-pipe for my 07 S4R.  I removed the stock udder and now I'm trying to get the new Marving installed.  I have everything mounted up loosely with no bolts tightened down yet and I'm having 2 issues:

1) The Marving pipe doesn't want to slide all the way onto the rear header pipe. It's about 1/8" short of being fully slid onto the header pipe.  I carefully tapped with a rubber mallet, but I'm afraid to whack it too hard and bend my new pipes.  I also tried WD40 to make it slide easier, but that did no good.  Is there any trick to this?    I loosened the bolts on the front header more and it gave me more wiggle room.  I can now get it pretty close to being snug up on the header pipe, although not perfect.  I'll try to tighten it all down tonight when I have someone to hold it in place while I tighten the clamp.

2)  The lamda sensor screws into the left side of the udder.  The mounting position on the new Marving pipes is on the right side and I'm lacking about 4" to get it there.  Do you have to reroute the wire or splice extra wires into the lamda sensor?  I wiggled the lamda sensor wires around a bit and changed its positioning somewhat and now have plenty of slack to make the connection.

These will probably be easy issues for many of you, but my mechanical knowledge is probably very low compared to many of the experts on the forum.  Please give me some good ideas so I can get this thing running.  Thanks!

I had the same trouble installing my Quat-D midpipe - are you reusing the little rubber shock hangers that originally mounted the udder to the bottom of the engine case? If so, then you must omit them and mount the midpipe mounts directly to the engine case. This should allow the midpipe to mount up properly with the rear header pipe. This was my mistake when mounting the midpipe.
If not, and you're positively certain you have the correct piece for your bike, then there is no choice but to persuade the midpipe into fitting any which way you can. Sometimes they are stubborn. Exchanging it for another one may yield a better fitting piece also.
If your bike requires header-to-cylinder head gaskets(flat donut-shaped metal/fiber gaskets that fit inside the head ports mating the header to the cyl head) did you use new ones? Sometimes if you don't they leak.

I haven't hooked up the pipe to the bracket yet. I was waiting to get it all lined up to see if the little rubber hanger was needed, but it looks like it surely won't be needed.  I re-used the header gasket.  It was in pretty good shape, so I'm hoping it will be ok.  I'm going to try to get it lined up tonight since I have some extra hands here to assist.  We'll see how it goes.

Update:  We got the pipes hooked up.  Once it was all line up properly I tightened the header pipe and 2 U-brackets all the way.  I did a preliminary routing of the lamda sensor wire and hooked it up.  Once everything was there, I fired it up and could not detect any leaks at any connections.  I didn't run it long because I hadn't wiped it down and I've read it should be cleaned with WD-40 prior to heating it up to prevent burning in oils from my hands.  So, once I determine proper routing of the lamda sensor the mid-pipe will be complete.  Next step = hooking up the cored cans that a GREAT board member is working on for me!
