I'm thinking that I'd like to do the mess around and build an exhaust system.  Maybe something along the lines of an X Box.

I have a M900ie, and in looking on e-Bay, it appears that the front and rear header pipes are pretty much the same shape over a broad range of different motorcycles.

How about fitment to the heads, and tube diameters?  Are there a bunch of different sizes and shapes, or are they all about the same?

There are some killer deals on this OEM stuff, and I suspect that something could become an inexpensive basis for an exhaust system.

I'm fully aware that I'm not going to gain any power.  It will just be something to play around with.

Thanks, Danny

900's do not fit 800's and below.  i think the 1000's may fit 900's but not sure. [bacon]

M1000 and M900 do not interchange.

Above 2 do not interchange with M800, M750, M695, M620, M600.

M800, M750, M695, M620, and M600 all interchange, AFAIK.
Buuuuut.....the carbies may have the old style cast flange with half-ring retainers... and not fit the i.e. motors.
