Hi all knowledgebale people out there!

I want to remove the hanging exhaust bracket (and rear pegs) from my S4rs & have them powder coated matt black.

The one question I have is about the removal of the bracket that holds the termi pipes in place. This seems to be attached to the silencers via a hex head bolt.
This looks simple enough to remove, but what is holding it in place? Is there a nut on the inside of the cans, that would 'fall off' if I were to simply unscrew it all, left to rattle around inside the silencer?

Or is the hole (and associated thread that the bolt fits into) permenentally fixed in place, meaning there's no issue at all with the removal of these bolts & the bracket?

A simpleton question I know, but your feedback & thoughts are appreciated!!

take a look at some of the can chops that people have (you'll have to search) and see if you can find the same model you have.

If I remember correctly, the nuts are welded in place, but don't quote me. I haven't done this on a termi.

ok just got an email from a member.

the termi's do indeed have a bracket holding the welded nuts in place.

i'll ask him to post the pic.

Edit: here's the pic

Thanks guys, really appreciate the input.

I'm good at what I do, its just that tooling around with mechanical stuff is not what I do !!!! [clap] [cheeky]

I've taken the brackets, rear foot peg brackets & heel plates off now & dropped them off at the shop this morning to have the powder coaed Matt black, let's hope they turn out as expected!
