Busted!
QuoteThe man accused of holding up a posh Las Vegas Strip casino was living large after the heist, gambling away hundreds of thousands of dollars, until he got caught trying to hawk his stolen chips online to poker players, authorities say.

Anthony M. Carleo, the bankrupt son of a Las Vegas judge, was arrested this week on allegations that he ran out of the Bellagio hotel-casino with $1.5 million in chips during a gunpoint heist Dec. 14.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I don't think his Dad won't do much of anything in getting him out.

Speeddog

Surprised he's not in a shallow grave in the desert.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

If he played it smart he could have enjoyed a lifetime of free gambling.  Spending a couple grand here n there.

It amazes me how dumb some people are

Are the chips not traceable?

At one point the casino that he stole them from said that they could trace them but wouldn't tell how. Some casinos use RF chips in their chips so that they can trace them but not all of the casinos will admit to doing this openly in order to keep up the "maybe we are, maybe we aren't" defense kinda like a fake security cameras. I dunno, considering that they didn't find him until they caught him trying to sell them on a forum, I'd say that they couldn't trace them.
ErkZ NOT in SLO w/ his '95 m900!
The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!

IIRC
The casino said that the high$ chips he stole have serial numbers.
Whether that's via printing or RFID chip or ? they didn't say.

They obviously could not track the chips. The article says he stayed at the resort gambling with them. They even comped him a room for a week likely due to the amount of money (chips) he was playing.
