Thanks, some hate it, some like it, I did it as a tribute for the 250 2 stroke GP bikes that are gone forever. Not quite the Factory look of the Aprilia & Honda's but the 696 sorta has that banana shape to it so I gave it go & kinda like it.[quote

I agree, I never liked the stock rear sets & right now I'm putting on some 848 forks and as usual it's costing way more then planned. So the rear set mod was basically free except a can of spray paint. If I decide to stay with em I'll powder coat them.

I think they look alright!  Any idea how much weight you chopped off?
2009 696, Termi CF Pipes ECU Intake, Woodcraft Rearsets, Fender Elim, Shorty Pazzo Levers, CRG Lane Splitters, DP Low Seat, Powder Coated Bits, Speedymoto Frame Sliders, Rizoma Front Sliders, Rhinomoto Rear Sliders, Shorai Batt, Billet Oil Cap, iPhone Mount, LED Blinkers, Leggero Sprocket Cover, TPO Corsa Crankshaft Cover, Canister Delete/Euro Shroud, 14T Front Sprocket

BuBBleman21@!

i also cut mine after the aftermarket rearsets i purchased didn't look the way i wanted them to. however, you did a cleaner cut & a better job than i did.  [clap]   in spite of the butchered appearance of mine, i'll leave well enough alone.

2.4lbs. your ? made me curious so i just weighed the cut off parts. But if you want to loose some real weight change your rotors, part of my fork swap includes some Galfer wave rotors & they are each over a pound lighter then the stockers and loosing that much weight on the wheel should make a noticeable difference in the way bike turns.

Great job on that, looks proper. That swingarm must have been a lot of work. Now to get lighter wheels and a decent rear shock. [thumbsup]
