Power commander part numnbers

Can anyone tell me if all power commander III's will work with an S2R 800.  I see from Power Commander that they claim to have one specific model number for the S2R 800 but is it really different or is it just a different map set delivered with it?

For example the S2R 800 model is 723-411 while the M1000 is 717-411?

The only difference as far as I know is the supplied wiring harness and plugs. The maps can all be downloaded from their website.
