gen info for PCIII

im *finally* looking to get a PCIII(usb) for my lightly modified S2R800 (06).
looks like around $300+ for a new one. If i can find a used one, are they set ups between similar ducatis similar enough to cross over? i cant imagine the connectors are very different (if at all) between different models of the same year or time period. I've already acquired a map that matches my bike just about perfectly from another member here, so id load that on ignoring whatever map was loaded by a previous owner. just need the PCIII now! thanks in advance!

Also any general advice or tips regarding the PCIII would be greatly appreciated

I'm using an m800 PCIII on my s2r 800.. works fine. I called powercommander and they confirmed compatibility. I'd be careful about going different than the displacement you currently have. But powercommander will be able to help you with compatibility like they did for me.
