Board is slow or doesn't load...

I never get on this forum because it is always so slow (has been for me every time I've accessed it since it came online!). Today though it is working as it should. It's nice to be able to go from page to page in less than a minute!

How do you access the forum?

Do you use a favorite or type the url?

Have you ever cleared your DMF cookies?

We've had 4 different servers and IP's. It's hard for me to believe the newest is still slow for you.

LOL. Why would I make that up? Until I posted the other day that the site is finally at a normal page load time it was always dead slow. 20 second load time or more. I'm not the only one with that issue so I know it is not something I am doing.

I wasn't implying you were making anything up. My surprise is based on the capabilities of our server both in memory and transfer. The thing is barely off idle.

The issues we've had in the past have been corrected to the best of my knowledge by moving from the godaddy server we had up until last fall. Most recent problems were corrected by clearing cookies and any favorites in browsers.

Have you ever run a tracert to see where the hang up is because I'm certain it isn't our server.

I haven't - this is literally the only site I have an issue with so I haven't put much effort into figuring out the problem. It is still working fine for me at this point so no big deal I suppose.

Based on the 3 gigs of memory and 2 TB of transfer that we have, and the fact that no capacity is over 10%, you shouldn't even be able to see the page load. Our server is overbuilt for what we need.

If it happens again, please take the time to run the tracert. I'd be curious.
