WOO HOO!!!! Le Mans and free channels on DirectTV

Thats right!

the Le Mans starts in less than 12 hours and Direct TV has seen it fit to give me a shitload of channels for free, including the much hated (but only Le Mans broadcaster) Speed Channel!

My ass will be glued to the couch from 6pm until I can't keep my eyes open.  My $$ is on the Audi(s) retaining their title.

My favorite part is watching the pit coverage.  Esp when they swap out something like the entire transaxle in about 8 minutes.

I watched way to much of the race. The finish was about what I expected.

(I'll leave out results, if anyone has tivo'ed it)

One thing I missed was shown in the clips at the end of the broadcast. A car comes flying over a hill through a turn hanging in mid air. I'm not sure what happend to it though, or who it was? Anyone catch what happend?

I wasn't an old clip if the Mercedes flipping backwards in mid air was it?  I didn't see anything like you are describing during the race, but I did fall asleep from 1am to about 4:30am. 

It was a great race!!!

no...it wasn't the CLK-GTR flip (and incredible, yet scary piece of footage) It was on a downhill right hand turn, the car (i think a P2 car) comes out from behind the wall in the air already and flips, totally missing the turn on the course. I'm pretty sure it was from this race, because all the other clips were parts that I had seen.
