Hey fellas,

This is the first time I fired up my 620 monster and it started with no problems. When I tried to ride after 10mintes of waiting to warm up,  the bike barely moved if didn't. I drop it to first gear let off the clutch, gave it some gas and got just really slow moment. I let the clutch go and the bike just stop no jump feeling. I have it park outside my building under a cover and it was running good last time I rode it probably Beginning of Oct. 2010 before it got cold out.  I was working my dog some I couldn't really let it ride slow down the block just in case it picked up speed and throttle out some.

I don't know kind of a newbie on the tech side. Have you guy's ever experience this issue before having the bike set for a while? Should I let it run for 30-45 minutes to refresh i guess  ??? Did the clutch burn or water/snow damage for being outside. I'm clueless...

I have a 2002 620 Monster my last Mod was new clutch and brake handles but the bike was riding good after I lift the shop.

Thanks...

So the motor revs and you can switch gears, right?  Just no forward movement?

Yeah, barely moving almost no movement. I can feel a little pull but when I twist the  throttle hard no movement but slight pull. It feels like it's trying to move.

Hmm...maybe try adjusting the clutch lever.  Seems like the clutch isn't disengaging.

You say the last mod was a clutch.  Might it not have been bleed well and some air got into the lines over the winter?

Well if there were air in the lines, the clutch wouldn't be able to disengage, which wouldn't allow gear changes.  And if one were to change gears, they would shoot forward when it happened while revving!

1. Are you sure the bike was in gear? With the bike shut off, were you able to push the bike?

2. besides changing the clutch line, did you make any other adjustment to the clutch system? Like anything at the master?

-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
