Ducati 1098 rear socket 55mm 12pt

Ive heard that the 55mm rear socket isnt really machiend to 55mm so im wondering if this tool will fit

 55 mm is 2.16 in.   2 3/16 is 2.18 in.  I would think that would be close enough.

Don't know if I would want $12.00 quality though.

i have several of their sockets, they work great.

i spoke to someone else, they said that no 55mm works you have to get the ducati specific one. or atleast one made specifically for the 1098/.

It does require a special socket,  speedymoto makes a great one,  although cheaper do exist.

The 1098 rear axle takes 237* lb/ft to torque correctly.   I would want perfect fit if I was doing that,  or risk that big ass nut getting its corners rounded off

I never use 12 pt sockets for the bikes.  They tend to round things.

The 1098 socket is a 12pt nut. a 6pt wont work.
