07 S2R - Inector Wire Connection Broken - Options?

I was a bit heavy handed removing the cable that connects to injector. The plastic where the connector is attached to the injector broke.

[bang]

Please tell me I don't have to buy a new injector (to the tune of 500+ dollars).


Any suggestions?? The ducati parts diagram only lists the injector and doesn't singel out the wire connection.

What bike, S2R1000 or 800?

eBay is your friend for this type of thing - I know an S2R800 injector is listed at $620, for a new one. Ouch. I see throttle bodies w/ injectors on eBay all the time for around $125

It's an 800. Thanks for the tip on eBay. Didn't even think to look for a complete throttle body.

yeah, that's done.

troll on ebay and find a pull off a later EFI model. I believe the injectors are all the same on 03-04 and later (for monsters)

someone correct me if i am wrong.

My '04 S4R has the older 996 style Marelli side-feed injectors...

ah of course, with the 996 engine too.  i guess it's limited to 2v models...
