I have been searching for an hour at work for this info.  So, I'm sorry if it is posted somewhere already and I cannot find it.

I just got a 2000 M750 Dark and I just want to know what some of the common problems and or quirks about the bike are.

Thanks

CJ

depends on use/care...but sometimes the carbs can be finicky...vertical cylinder base gasket can leak....but outside of normal wear and tear issues, nothing pops out as anything different than any other Duc or other bike for that matter...

I've had issues with worn emlusion tubes in the carbs and with rectifiers - other than that, it has run like a champ.  If your mileage starts diving into the 30's, have your carbs gone through.  If your headlight dims and brightens as you ride, check your battery/charging system.  If it gets out of hand, the battery will leak acid down the left side of your frame and make a mess - (ask me how I know).  Those are the only issues I have had in 10K miles.  If you don't ignore the warning signs, these issues can easily be solved before they become problems.  The bike runs and runs and makes me smile.

I've had 2 oil pressure sensors go bad, one under warranty. 34,000 miles and other than a throttle cable breaking, that's it. Good bike.
