i was kind of hoping to find a carbon fiber cap, if ducati makes it there has to be a way to make it look better.

The carbon edition costs more ... now you have the option of paying extra up front ... or you can upgrade using the accessories catalogue later.

Of course if you don't buy direct from a Ducati dealer and have your new carbon fibre cap installed by qualified Ducati technicians at said dealer ... you have no calim against Ducati if you smell like shit.
