I just wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. I'm a Marylander and plan on spending some time checking out the local board and hopefully getting a chance to ride with you all as well. I've been on the forum for maybe half a year now. Last year I got myself an M800, my first Ducati, and spent most of the time in here reading up on the bike and purchasing needed equipment and such. I'm also a newbie so the thought of group rides was still a bit daunting for me. Also found a good mechanic by the name of Mike Collins who does work on the side up in Gaithersburg. He did the 12K service for me last fall. I recommend him but haven't heard from him this year. Kinda like he fell off the earth..Good work and great prices though.

Anyways, hope to ride with you all soon and meet you all in person. Broke the ankle a couple of weeks ago but hope to be on the bike in May or June. (dirtbike accident)

PS- I live out in Howard County near Ellicott City. There are some great backroads around there. Anyone else in that area?

Welcome!  Mike has a good reputation around here, but I've heard he has gotten quite busy with other work lately.

We have quite a few Marylanders here in CAM, but just as many of us are also NoVa residents, and a few DC folks mixed in as well.  Our normal Sunday ride starts off near Bowie, and we have been talking about making out way up north of Ellicot City many times, but only managed to do so once so far.  BUT, I'm thinking we need to pool together the route planning of both Lars and Ted, and come up with something epic up there.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Welcome to the board and congrats on your taste in motorcycles and dogs! [thumbsup]

Get well soon, and try not to break anything else before we organize a ride together! [cheeky]

Hic sunt Leones! Artful and Statler are in the Baltimore area. By the way, Statler is having a Cinco de Mayo party at his place, so that might be a good occasion to meet.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Welcome! I'll ping you about the dirtbike part...

Welcome! Yeah, I used Mike also but I don't think he's doing the Ducati maintenance gig anymore. Too bad, he was enthusiastic, fast and super reasonable. The Bowie rides are often a mix of levels so no prob. The "spirited" riders (cough Ben cough Lars) just wait at the next stop sign. Always a good group.

Welcome! I'm over in Parkville but used to live in Catonsville. I am working on a pretty awesome route up in this area so if you ever want to go on a scouting run I'm up for company. The CAM crowd usually stays south but I think I'll lure them up here a few times this summer. For additional local riders check out Baltimore Area Ducati on the Bookface.

Don't be askeered, Ben and Lars are harmless. Unless of course you're a ham sammich or a small woodland creature. Then it's most definitely curtains for you.

Hey thanks a lot guys. Look forward to riding with you all soon. Someone mentioned Ted...would this happen to be Ted Redmer or something like that? I found a baltimore Ducati group in facebook that I joined but haven't had a chance to meet those guys either. I know they do rides and also get together for light modding, brewski's. Would love to get involved in this also. I will definitely keep checking up on the CAM board.

Ted Redmer? Oh christ... that guy's such an asshole... good luck with that. Damn kids with their rock n' roll music.

Hi, I'm Ted :D

+1 to that... wait, I say that aloud?

As you can see, we're all a bunch of comedians. And yes, that Ted is this ^^^ Ted.

Thanks Statler, will try to make it out.

Hi Ted, nice to see you on here also. Also hoping to make it out and watch some motogp with you guys and of course ride!!

Thanks for the awesome welcome everyone!!

Artful

Definitely make it out for Matt's ride and MotoGP if you can. It's a lot of the same roads as the CAM route but typically Matt keeps the pace a bit slower but still sporting.
