WOW, I had no idea 750ss's were 6 figure bikes.

Raux....curious why they have a 100K bike sitting on a harbor freight stand in that pic.  Means it's good enough for my s4rt I guess  [laugh]

I missed getting one in the early 80s by one phone call! [bang] Back then I used to belong to the Ducati International Owners Club (DIOC was based somewhere in Florida) and the guy that ran it probably used some of the first desk top publishing to send out newletters... no internet back then, Gore hadn't invented it. [laugh] As soon as I got the newsletters I always went straight for the classifieds and there it was... 1974 low milage 750SS in Arkansas and I live in Texas. I called the guy instantly only to find out someone must have opened their newsletter moments before I opened mine and that guy had already cut the deal, sight unseen. It's probably the one on ebay right now for $95K!! [bang] [bang] [laugh] Oh well...
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

mate of mine sold one here in oz for $120,000 2-3 years ago...  they go for about 150,000 here now!

When I bought the monster 16 years ago there was a rebuilt green frame for sale in one of the shops for 18,000...  I paid 14,500 for the monster...  Think I made the right decision?

I've got a friend who bought one new in 74 and still has it.

Worth almost as much as his house now.
