S2R1000 won't start cold

I have never had trouble starting it until yesterday afternoon and this morning.  I eventually got it to fire yesterday, but this morning I had to open the airbox and use starter fluid.  Once it starts it runs like a champ and restarts on the first turn of the starter once warm.  Any ideas?

Just changed the sparkplugs a week ago.
I would think the injectors are fine since it runs well once started.
Gas in the tank is about 3 days old.

Brand new.  Just replaced it last week with the sparkplugs.  The starter is turning the motor over plenty fast.

And when I say cold...the ambient temperature is 65 - 70F...so not extreme temps or anything.
