They don't want the older (real) Monster in the competition, because they know what will happen.  ;)
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

I'm glad to see the two classes. I like the custom paint jobs and bolt-on accessories, but a push to the manufacturers for some creative, custom parts is what we need.

Interestingly, they don't mention when voting starts, just when it ends.

If it starts day 1 of the contest, there is serious advantage to finishing and entering on May 11.  If Voting only occurs after July 15th, then holding off to do last minute stuff is beneficial.

anyone know which is the case?

Anyone remember the last "Monster Challenge"? You know, the one that was the "Monster paintjob". I think this is definitely a step up. Hopefully next time it will be at least 3 categories, 2 new and at least 1 classic Monsters.

Should be open to all.  We all get the same bikes (give or take), and have access to the same materials (give or take), so why not go big?

As long as it's a 2008 or newer Monster only...      [roll]

Sweet.  That means I don't need to make my bike look purty and unridden, only to be told it doesn't have enough carbon on it.   ;D  Sorry, Stu, I know you'd want me to enter if I could
