Touring handlebars/clip-ons on S4RS?

I'm planning on doing a few long treks on the bike this summer and I need help choosing the right handlebars or clip-ons to make the ride bearable.
As you can see, I'm using Suburban bars now and really enjoy them for twisty and every day riding but anything over a few hours of riding, it becomes uncomfortable.
So, I'm looking for something with a more upright sitting position but at the same time, I still want the ability to switch back to my Suburbans when not touring or are there clip-ons that allow for such diversity? Help

Monster Parts has a set of adjustable clip-ons.  They can adjust vertically for sport or touring.

adjustable clip on or not, they are usually still not as good as stock bars. Where was your stock bar?

Rizoma bars are about two inches higher and have further sweep back angle.
They might work well for you and you'll be able to keep your steering damper without mods.

I'm glad I kept my stockers.  I may change it back soon.  Plus, they are aluminum not the normal chrome steel.

Another vote for stock bars.  They really are very good all around handlebars.

Stockers are somewhere in Australia. Removed and sold soon after bike was in possesion

I'll check with Jeff at Monster Parts to see what handlebars he has but the more I think about it, I'm really pushing to find some clip- on's that can be adjusted to accommodate sport and touring.
So, if I do go with clip- on's, ya think I'll have issues with my damper?

The damper is relatively steady because of the bars and two clamps forming a solid base for it.
Remove the bars and you're left without this base.

Of course, you could leave one bar riser/clamp, but it would be just two very long bolts.
That's not going to be very stable.

Options: get a side mounted damper or cut and leave a piece of the bars to keep the current set up
(if you don't want to cut the Suburban bars, I guess you could get another piece of pipe)

Check out SpeedyMoto TallBoys.  They are pretty popular around here and offer the adjustability you are looking for.

You can loosen two screws on each to slide them up and down the forks.  You can move as high as you want on days you need comfort.

Does anyone have FHE on the adjustable riser clip-ons at Monster Parts?  Have the non-riser parts and I like the quality.  These seem pretty nice but are less pricey than the SM parts.

Be sure to do your research as the 4" rise can be a bit misleading. That measurement can be achieved only with the bar tips pointed "up" which may not be a desired riding angle.  Then take into consideration that unless you drop your triples, these will be mounted below them and likely lower than your current set up. None of these things are bad, just know what to expect.  Big plus is that every other position and angle can be explored, they just might not be taller.

I have convertibars on mine..... if your brake lines are long enough they'll get pretty high....

I went to a dirtbike shop and found a bar that was a comfortable height and sweep back and bolted them on and luckily no need to change hoses...Pro-Taper was inexpensive and I got exactly what I needed on the spot!
