Not by a lot, but the tech who worked on the bike definitely put in a little too much.  I watched him check the oil level with the bike warm (but not running), and the level was between the two lines.  I confirmed this when I got home shortly after shutting off the bike, but then I verified in the manual that it states the engine should be COLD.  (It actually says:Check the oil level with the motorcycle upright and the engine cold. Allow a few minutes for the oil level to stabilize after stopping the engine. - the second part almost contradicts the first, given that the engine would still b quite warm a 'few minutes' after stopping the engine).  At any rate, after I allowed the engine to cool down for several hours, the oil level is above the upper line in the sight glass (though the glass isn't completely filled).

Is this much of an issue?  I have considered trying to remove a little through the fill hole (the drain plug would be too much of a pain), though I'd have to come up with a way to siphon some out.

and spray them with oil.  lol i kept passing a higher hp bike in the infield corners this past weekend and he came over to my pit and said "dude your bike is smoking like crazy and i'm afraid its gonna pop infront of me"  I replied "then stay infront of me then" it will only smoke if its both really hot out and there is too much oil in it.  I'm not worried, let er blow [bacon]

There isn't too much oil in the OP's bike.

My bike will smoke a little on decel down a long hill.

I'm not worried either.
