Been around a little while BS'ing with the CAM members but thought I should do an intro thread.

I'm Patrick. New to Ducati. Had a couple of old cruisers years ago, but haven't ridden at all for the past 12 years.

I met my new girlfriend about 2 months ago in Ohio and finally went to pick her up about 2 weeks ago. We've been together exclusively ever since. Her name is Cammy. She's a little expensive and "high-maintenance" and she can be very loud at times, but she's a lot of fun.  She's also a little bit temperamental and will quickly let you know when you do something she doesn't like, but those sexxi head-turning curves more than make up for it. I knew it was meant to be the first time I turned her on, straddled her, and popped her c....lutch.

Here's some pics of my baby:

...at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum

...out in the country in VA

...near the Beach in MD

...with my uncle's Harley in the mountains in VA

...at the beach in SC

...more beach in SC

...the infamous elevator incident

...a lake near the NC/SC border on Rte 15

...luckily the previous owner didn't wear her out so she's still nice, tight, and nimble

That's my baby!!!  ;D ;D ;D

There's no member's ride section so if it's alright, I'll just keep updating this thread with more pics and crap. Mainly for myself so I have one centralized thread with trips, pics, details and crap like that. I can be absentminded at times.

So another update. I took a trip down to Gum Springs area and met up with some close friends. Tony has a WideGlide and we took a nice cruise out to Williamsburg on some nice roads south, then took the ferry north towards Williamsburg. Stopped and made some rounds at the shops there and took some nice northern roads back to the country west of Richmond. It was a nice trip and here's a few pics of the ferry.

Going back up to MD, I took country roads and turned a normally 2.5hr trip into a 8.5hr trip. Took 522 up to 208 and stopped at Lake Anna and then I don't remember the rest from there.  Another pretty picture of the lake.

I'm already destroying the bike. I hit a pothole pretty hard and bent the front rim (no pic yet but may add one soon) and I've broken two of the turn signal lights as well. It's sad to see a Duc held together with duct tape, but it works until I can get replacements.

For only having her for 3 weeks, she certainly gets around.

I've also noticed that I tend to ride a lot with the sportbike crowd and the Harley crowd, probably more with the latter. Is that the norm for everyone or am I just an odd case?

More pics will come when I do more traveling or break more stuff  :P

Yeah, there's no on going ride thread, or even a section. We just sorta do it ad hoc. But this seems like a decent concept you've got going - though not much of the board population strays in here.

So you ride more with the Harley crowd? Probably not the norm around here. Generally, the cruiser riders are looking to cruise, they aren't looking for twisties.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Artful

Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend
