So which one will stop the squeeks?  i am getting all sorts of looks.

read the old posts but no one gave a precise solution on what works for this particular boot,

The 'SIDI Sqeak' has always been an issue. My 10 year old Vertebra II's have it too.

Silicone spray...or any non petroleum based oil will stop it if applied periodically.

My wife's Sidis even came with a little thing of silicone grease to lube the pivot to prevent the squeak.  My Oxtars squeak too, lube will shut them up for a while, but after a couple of long days in the rain they squeak again.

Mine also squeak but they are my track boots so it isn't an issue. I wear an a pair of Tour-master boots on the road.

Mine squeek also.... but not as bad as my Joe Rocket boots.

The Sidi's are so confortable.... I can walk in them.  My feet don't bother me.  I have had them on for 14 hours at one time and no discomfort at all.

I'm very happy with them. !

I've had a couple of different pairs of vertigos and vertebras that squeak.  Putting some wax under where the plastic plates overlap will help.  I've used paste furniture wax (because I had it at 1st) that works and seems to last pretty well.  Squeak will come back eventually, so you'll have to wax it again.  Dipping a q-tip in the wax and using it as an applicator makes it pretty easy to apply.

A silicone spray will help too, but it won't last nearly as long.

My A* SMX + boots squeak as well.

I just don't wear them when I break into homes and businesses ;D

Seriously, I just live with it.  I get enough looks with my helmet and walking around in full leathers marked up from a couple crashes that I don't think they even notice the squeaky boots [laugh]

I've used chain wax and that seems to take care of it for a while.
