I'm a new rider I took the MSF course got a 2006 Monster 620 as my first bike rode it for about 2 months and then left for Afghan. Long story short divorcing the wife now and its sold well she sold it. So I'm in the market for a new bike but not a 620 I am 225lbs and 6 ft tall and that bike had zero power on the highway and I felt cramped on it. I am from the Austin Area or claim to be at least but am looking to maybe move to a different state with better weather. So that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome  [clap]

I wouldn't get too crazy given whatever you get is essentially your first bike.  I can see how a 620 would be a bit cramped for you, but most sporting bikes will be.  Adv style bikes have a lot more leg room.  You might like a previous generation multistrada 1000 or 1100.  Still pretty manageable bikes, but quite a bit more power than the 620 and much more space.

As for the 620's power, I'm a bit smaller than you but have a ton of riding experience and still don't find my wife's 620 underpowered.
