Hi everyone, for my situation. I own a M796 bike. And i got a 696 Termignoni exhaust with the ECU. After I understanging fr DP. I can't use the 696 Termig ECU on my M796. They suggest me post them my 796stock ECU to have it reflash, but i need to use my bike everyday. So i can't pick the ECU out and reflash it.
Any suggestion from you guys that what should i do?

Just use your stock 796 ECU. I rode my bike with a high-flow filter and slip-on exhaust for a long time without the DP ecu and never had any issues.

Or if you want the best performing bike, you can order a Rexxer, protune, or powercommander and custom load a map..... All come with several pre-loaded maps for your setup. You load up the map and you should be good to go.

Is the 696 Termignoni exhaust slip-on can use on my M796?

Ok.... my experience is with M696 and M1100, but I see no reason why what I'm about to say is not also applicable to M796.

Termi slip on cans are identical between M696 and M1100 (the removable Db killers have a different sized internal baffle tube - the 696 is smaller than the 1100 version), but the cans themselves = identical.  I see no reason why you cannot fit M696 cans to your M796.

The ECU? Thats another issue. My advice on that is this:

If you bought Leo Vince, or Zards or any other aftermarket cans you'd run em with the stock ECU, so why not the Termis?  Or as DoWorkSon said, if you cant be without the ECU, buy a Rexxer device and reflash your stock 796 ECU to DP spec (or whatever you want).  Takes 2 minutes to do - the hard part is the cost of the unit.

Thanks, i will try to install the 696 exhaust to my M796.
And I would like to buy the power commander before, but i found that there have no mapping for M796.
Any other suggestion?
