the 1198 isn't the one that broke. did anyone read this?
It was a "2009 racing superbike." That was a 1098 R, and therefore an 1199cc motor. The street bike didn't break, but that's not the point - tigre's joke is relevant  Wink
And all too true as many superbike owners will testify  Cry

Wonder if Duc will make a VR superbike anytime soon (not that I want one).

Some slicks might not clear the swingarm on the stock setup.  Brake rotor offset might be different.  If it had sbk forks  the axle is different.

If they made a hayden be, they will make a v
r bike...

yes, look more closely. The first photo - no mirrors, turn signals or tag. Photos 2 and 3, mirrors, blinkers and a tag. They didn't stick a 46 on that street bike.

Or a lit headlight....

this all makes me wonder...not that it matters....why did they get him an 1198 and not a Sedici?...I am sure there had to be a Sedici in the neighborhood somewhere...

and I wonder what Rossi thinks of the production version of the R1 versus the 1198 and since he has ridden them both now and then the WSBK versions of both what his feedback is on them both in comparo?!?!?

Honestly the 1198 is easier to ride and more refined + traction control.  The 1198 will go faster around most tracks than the Sedici will.
