Anyone want potentially cheaper insurance?

As the title says, is anyone interested in cheaper rates?

BUT, isn't there always a but, here's the catch.  As of right now, Foremoste does not write policies in our lovely state.  The person that I spoke with did not know if that was by choice of the company itself, or if it was mandated by the state.  I asked them if they had any idea if they might begin to offer coverage down here and got the big shrug as a reply.  So, here is my quiestion/suggestion: Seeing as how this company is now affiliated with Ducati, how about we try to get some folk together and petition DNA to get them to offer coverage down here.  What say you?

GEICO gives me a really great rate.  I think I qualify under the "Grand Dad" discount.  [moto]

I've never had good luck with Geico, but i know lots of folk who have.  Every time I call, I get quoted 50-100% higher than my current rates.

I've got good rates with GEICO as well.  One thing though, several people in that other thread made mention of these new guys beating GEICO's rates, some by a couple hundred per year.

I know we have different bikes, different ages, etc., but are you folk (esp you hawaii folk) wiling to say about what you pay for your monster?  Mine is a smidge over $300, and I think that's 6 months.  Seems high, no?

Bad eh?  I was amazed while trying online quotes that Geico and Progressive both listed the 748 and the m750 as the same bike.  More interested in displacement than use, it seems.

Just for grins why don't you try comparing those two with a GSXR750. That'd test your displacement theory.

That bumped it $200/year.  Guess it only worked with older Ducatis.

Exactly.  For some reason, the insurance companies quote really low rates for Ducatis.  I was amazed at how low the rate was for the 996 that I almost bought when I first moved here.  I asked the GEICO person why this was and they said that most people who buy Ducs are older, more mature and not as likely to go out and be stupid with them.  Guess they don't extend the same philosophy towards Triumphs.

lol  You know what I mean.  You don't usually see all that many squids riding around on Ducs.  BUT, I did see someone on Sunday "cruising" a late model Super Sport over near Kanaohe absolutely gearless.
