Nice, ML...

But, tach that baby up and let her sing!!!   [evil]  She sounds so much better above 8 grand.

of course above 7, she'll like to point the front skyward...

;D

Glad you're enjoying her!  [thumbsup]  Road trip out to Cali one of these days?  We have lots of curvy roads... Just say'n.   ;)

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Well, here's the thing with that.  Above 8 grand stuff starts happening pretty fast.

As it is I'm 15-30 over the limit on those roads.  The speed isn't the issue, it's being able to slow fast enough if there's a deer, redneck with a trailer going 2mph, car backing out of a driveway etc.

Generally those hazards are few and far between but I like a little safety margin.

Shortly after I got the bike I discovered it will do 100mph in second gear.  And that's not hitting the rev limiter either.

The 999 is total overkill for the street.  There's really nowhere to fully exploit it in any gear.

That said, I love it [evil]

Probably not gonna ride it cross country so visit though ;)

Ain't it great?!  ;D

I was just poking a little fun at ya.  ;)

Ya, it's totally unnecessary...
As SacDuc said to me once, "You're bike is retarded... I approve!"   [laugh]

Around town here, I can't really get out of second.  Even at freeway speeds, I'm only in 4th, sometimes 5th.

Glad you're loving your bike!  [thumbsup]

I think dp wants one now.  ;D

You mean there is a 5th and 6th gear on 999s? Who would have known? Can you say "geared tall"? [laugh] I bet my 5th and 6th look just like they did when they built the gearbox. ;D

Funny. My 996 doesn't run on coal. ;D But it does need some use, too bad the 100+ degree days of summer are here.[bang] Kinda shuts down my 916/996/999 riding for June through September... and yes, I'm an old pussy! ;)

I repeat... I'm an old pussy. [laugh] I've been really hot before and didn't like it very much.

Doc, it hurts when I do this.

Well, then don't do that. [laugh]
