I picked up front wheel bearings from a local moto dealership - all-balls brand.  They were very inexpensive and seem to be of decent quality.

Wheel bearings can be had from a ball bearing supply house.
They're completely standard.

Head bearings, either the dealer for the OEM parts, or some of our Sponsors for aftermarket ones.

This is true and a big supply place will probably have the head bearings too.  As it happened my local bearing supply place was more expensive than the all-balls kit for the front wheel bearings for the wife's 620. I've got bearings from Motion Industries before - they have (or at least had years ago) a location near me.
