Are you looking for flavor that hauls a m/c? Or just one of those "tailgate party" deals?

For a motorcycle... Looking to cut down on tolls

No dice on my end, then. I've got one that's intended for luggage/gear/roadkill. Unfortunately I promised my m/c trailer to someone else already for the weekend.

If all else fails consider renting a 4x7 utility trailer at U-Haul at ~$20/day. But that might equal the cost of tolls, of course, depending on where you're headed.

I have a trailer just trying to keep it simple and light.  Thanks for the knowledge.

What bike did you get?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

My dad has a 650L.  Good all-around bike.  I'd recommend a dip-stick thermometer and ride such that temps stay below 250.  If you tend toward the spirited side its not impossible to cook one in short order.  If you have a hard time keeping temps below 250 fit an oil cooler from an XR400R and consider a big-fin head. My dad is a fairly smooth, relaxed rider and has no issues with temps.  I generally don't have issues with temps on hard or slippery ground.  In open stuff or in sand I have to really watch myself on it (and that's why God made XR650Rs [evil]).  It benefits tremendously from stiffer-than-stock fork springs as well.

Thanks for the advice...  One of the guys on a forum created a cooler for the 650l. I plan to do it.  Do u have a source for the temp gage?  XRonly  has been sold out for a while.  dc

bikepilot

I got one for my dad's XR from Scot Summers Racing (SRC) - don't know if they are still selling them or not.  Some of the forum-oil-coolers I've seen looked a bit sketchy so pay attention to what they are offering.  You don't want some fragile thing hanging off down low or worse mounted to the front/bottom of the engine if you'll be going off road. Its essentially impossible to break the XR400 cooler (it wraps around the front lower steering head area).  It isn't a huge cooler, but should knock enough temp off to keep a stock-ish motor alive no matter how hard  you thrash it.  You may not have any temp problems though so see if you can get the gauge before you go for a cooler.  All depends on how you ride it  [thumbsup]
