California Metal Spray (http://californiametalspray.com/home.htm) does this.

And yes, I am looking into this as a Winter project  Grin

Thanks, that is what I was looking for.  I wonder what it costs?  Have you gotten that far?

The decorative metal spray process consists of fine metal powders mixed with binders, resins, adhesives and hardeners to make a sprayable liquid that creates a metal coating that is both beautiful and durable.

The industrial spray process uses an electric arc inside a spray gun to melt metal wire; high pressure air forces the metal particles onto surfaces to create a strong layer of metal that can be machined, plated, or to apply a protective corrosion control coating.   One specialty is to restore old automobile pot metal for re-plating.
From their site...

I'm thinking you want the industrial process.

Otherwise it's just paint.

You got something against paint?  Grin

I've seen both and they both look good. But yes, I'm looking at the arc method...

I'm at a point when I need to decide what to do on my frame...Paint? Powder coat? There really is nothing to be done that hasn't been done..but that's friggin cool!
