Interesting... either way I doubt I'll reapply the stripe. Doing a quick search, it looks like an all weekend project including prep time. It's not noticeable since I popped the bubble but only bothers me slightly b/c I'm OCD when it comes to my bike... oh wells.

Same thing happened to the tail section of my bike.  I removed a sticker and within a couple of days a bubble appeared.  Like you I popped it and it went back to normal.  I then put a new sticker over it and have had no issues.

You'll get over it.

Hmmm... that is a very good question.

I have no idea, I just know there was no clear coat on my S4RS's original tank when my fingernail tore up the racing stripe decal.
