Exhaust clearance issues

Hi guys,

On my S2R800, I have what looks like a clearance issue between the vertical cylinder exhaust pipe and the swingarm.  When compressed, the swingarm hits the spring and spring retention bracket on the pipe.  Will this cause any major problems, or issues I should look at/be aware of?  There's no obvious visible damage to the pipes aside from scratches and the swingarm has a bit of a groove from hitting the pipes.  The connection between the pipe and the engine seems ok too.  I've added more preload to my rear shock to alleviate the damage but it still hits.  Thoughts?

What kind of exhaust is that?

I have a clamp in that area, but probably up higher where it's not in conflict with the swingarm.

Best case - exhaust spring or the 'loop' will be damaged.
Worst case - the compression of the swingarm will stop at that point, making it an unsafe ride.

Adding preload should only be done if it's needed for a better suspension functionality.
Get it done professionally if you're not sure how it's done.
Raising the bike by rotating the ride height rod might be slightly better for this problem, but still not something one would recommend to fix this particular issue.

I think it's more likely that over time the spring or the loop might break off due to repeated stress. :-\

Yeah I don't think I'm getting full travel right now.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get to the vertical cylinder exhaust bolts?  Those things are so deep in the bike.  How the heck am I supposed to fit a torque wrench through there?

long extensions with swivel joints is the only way I can get to mine.
