I disagree on the foot on the rear brake though at stops. why?

I'm usually 2 feet down, in first, hand on throttle, holding clutch and 2 fingers on front brake. and watching mirrors and lights.


that way if some idiot decides he wants to stop at the red, exactly where I am, I can move quickly.
