Yea I hear you on that. Lol its funny because I got the bike serviced a month ago, and they put in a bit extra just in case. Just checked it the other day, seems to be the same level.

A good thermal barrier ceramic coating makes a big difference on how much heat you get from exhaust.  One of my dual sport bikes has the header rather close to my right ankle and it got warmer than I liked.  Jet Hot sterling silver inside and out all but eliminated the heat on my ankle (as felt through my boots).  An oil cooler will make no real difference on radiant heat from the exhaust.  It may very slightly reduce radiant heat from the rear cylinder head fins, but that's it.
