Wow what a day !!!

Finally got my rear sprocket ....5 month wait !! well opened it up ..crap 42t , oh well I'll use it . Chain off, carrier off, Mount the new sprocket . Mount back on bike ................................

Crap chain won't sit on sprocket correctly what the h*ll  is it a 530 ? ...nope its a dam 525 Huh??

Called the Duc dealer correct Afam part number for a 2006 s2r , they say stock is 42t ...I have 41t stock , but the 525 is wrong it supposed to be 520 .

Blah Blah Blah ..there wrong I tell them ..order me a OEM Duc sprocket ..low and behold 41t 520 , should be here in 4 weeks , but the price  !!!!  $295 ...seriously ! (  this is crazy $$ for chain swap $200 for chain , $70 front 14t , $300 rear 41t ...every 15K kms  ...wow)

So anyway put the old one back on carrier, mount all back up , put big nut back on torque out ...cant get snap ring back in !!!

Yupper put the sprocket on the carrier backwards ............redo all over again .

A crappy crappy day

Wait WTF? 300 for a rear sprocket?  70 for a front one?

Look to the left, motowheels, ca cycleworks, monsterparts should have a front/rear combo shipped to your door for less than 100. probably by monday.

It looks like your mistake was buying OEM parts rather than after market.  With the sources mentioned above you can upgrade the quality of both your chain and sprockets, save money, and get your stuff in a week.

Dude is from Singapore, living in Canada.  Probably doesn't have the surfeit of aftermarket sellers like we do in the States.

Bingo

In Canada and Singapore  not allot of choices CA could ship to Canada but all they had was the rear with the quick change carrier

Front sprocket I got was a AFAM chain a D.I.D.-VM ( the rear is going to be Duc OEM )

I could have got a JT rear with the quick change but only could get 40t of 42t ( it was $25 cheaper ) but I want to keep the 14t / 41t combo

Just wondered what you guys can find on stock rear tooth count is stock 41t or 42t ?

Different sites say either is correct
