Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

The streamliner in picture #19 belongs to my best friend's brother. Charles Nearburg is his name and Rett was his son's name. Rett died of cancer on Jan. 14, 2005, he was 21 years old. Charles has raced his whole life. Go karts all the way to the Indy 500. He got the LSR bug a few years ago. Last October he broke the 40+ year old record set by the Goldenrod streamliner. That 'liner ran four 426ci Hemi engines and held the record at 409mph all those years. Charles busted it with a 414+mph average running one big ass motor on NOS. He said it's basically the same motor you'd find in a NHRA Pro Stock car.

He told me he was going back this year and was going to run a smaller displacement engine and try to break some other (some what slower) records. I'll be dove hunting with his brother on Sept. 1 so I guess I'll find out then how Charles did. [thumbsup]

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Amazing what can be seen out there.  A class for everything and on my list for next year.  Have a friend with a sick old Chevy Vega, with a weird twin turbo V6 from a Gran National that actually is a road racer (SCCA), claims with a little gearing work, etc, should push 200.  He is currently getting up to specs and will run it.   #6 what is it?

Obviously some sort of air cooled thumper. I was thinking something like a JAP (as in J.A. Prestwich) speedway bike motor but it doesn't look quite right. Definitely looks like something I could hurt myself on whatever it is. [laugh]

Guy (pronounced gee) looks very French as do the onlookers - could be an old Peugeot engine - maybe a Jawa

I was also thinking maybe Jawa when the JAP motors came to mind. If he's French then he shouldn't let others see him wearing a LIVESTRONG wrist band, if that's what it is. I've heard the French aren't big fans of Lance! [laugh]

Is that a GOPRO mounted on the top triple clamp?
