I am a brand new owner, and I bought a ten year old bike. (2000 Monster 400s)
I have had a few problems with it, and I cant stand not being able to fix it.  I've GOOGLE'D manuals, and they have turned up nothing for my particular bike.  I need a troubleshooting/maintenance manual so I can try to work out the kinks in it.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.duc.nu/manuals/

They don't list the 400, but they do list the 600 and those bikes should be almost identical

edit...they do list the 400 as an '04

item #163

Thanks.  Those manuals wont work though.  2004 was fuel injected and mine runs carbs.  Unfortunately my bike was the last year that had carbs in it.

I had a  Evil of a time trying to find a owners manual for my '05 S4R..ebay,google..nothing. I metioned this to Dave @ Ducati Seattle and he told me they had a thumb drive with all service manuals from 1991-2012 on it, he emailed me the one for my bike ( thanks again Dave) Check with your local dealer and see if they have that thumb drive, they would have gotten it (maybe) when they did their Diavel launch. Hope this helps.

Check with manualwizard1970(at)yahoo(dot)com.  I got my service manual for the 1993-2001 carbed 400/600/750 from him for cheap, plus it's a physical copy that I can haul out into the garage and not worry about screwing up my computer.  If you need some quick points or a scan of a page or three, I'm more than happy to help though I can't guarantee that I'll get them to you quickly... I keep the manual at home unless I'm scanning stuff (I use the scanner at work), and I'm pretty swamped with actual work right now.
