About 20 miles into my evening ride, pulled up to a light in 3rd and was shifting into 1st but got hung up at 2nd gear. I just installed a new clutch hub, pressure plate, springs, and retainers this weekend, as well as a 14t sprocket swap on my 2008 S2R 1000 with 6000 miles on it. At first I thought it may be a linkage issue do to the after market 4-racing rearset that is on the bike, but I just pulled shifter off and a few taps from a rubber mallet and no luck, it is still stuck. Any advise would be helpful.

Also, try the search using "broken shifter spring".

Thanks for the info Speeddog. Your riight it is a broken shifter spring, must of gotten in the gears, it is in 10 pieces [thumbsup]. Is there a heavy duty replacement for this spring?
I ordered a lightweight flywheel from SSR as well, figured while it was open.

AFAIK, the latest spring from Ducati is a recently updated/improved one.

But it's the only one available, so there you go.
