Well, my stomach is kinda in knots right now.

I rebuilt my bike,(not touching the engine), after putting her into a guard rail on Mt Ranier. The damage was both rims, some scrapes, dented tank, twisted rear frame, one vertebra, and the utter, which took the brunt of the hit, kinda like a metal airbag on the underside.

The bike has been totally worked on from her bedroom in my house for about a year now. A 2005 S4R, now with pod filters, PC usb, custom exhaust, fabricated tail light, clipons, custom tank paint, wave rotors, relocated rectifier, AL bolts, Ti bolts, lowered guages and headlight, and so much more. I mean this is me putting my blood and sweat and eating Ramen so she will run and I can ride her during the USGP at Laguna.

I just got her up to Ducati Seattle yesterday for a dyno map for the PC, as she needs it badly with that exhaust and pod filters. I TOTALLY trust the great minds and talent there, but I am told that she is only running on the front vertical cylinder. Ouch.

Besides me being a total Goob and wiring the PC incorrectly (it might be known to happen), what damage might I be looking at?

The engine runs. I started her up prior to taking her up there and she sounded rough, but I thought that was due to the stock fuel map.

The compression was decent, as I rotated the rear tire prior to starting her up just to see if any valves were striking the piston.

All electronics "seemed" fine during startup and such.

Any advice/insight is GREATLY appreciated. Personally, I have put everything into this beauty and right now I cannot stop eating TUMS.

Dave R, my future is in your hands,.. LOL.

So you have a single instead of an L-twin. Roll Eyes

As long as the valves weren't hitting the piston, there shouldn't be a problem.  How long did you run it on one cylinder?

How long was the gas in the tank during the rebuild?

Is the bike still at the shop?  Any chance they could do a quick diagnosis for ya?

I dont' have any pics to take as the bike is still in the shop.

They informed me of my new Super Mono, and they should be doing a diagnostic check on her soon.

The gas sat in the bike for maybe a week, and right before I put gas in the tank, I used an additive that removes old fuel and cleans injectors.

She ran like a single for maybe 5 minutes.

I am praying it is a clog or an electrical connector.

The best "additive" for removing old gas is draining the old gas.  As a rule, I don't trust anything being put into my tank but petrol.

More than likely it is something simple.  Just leave it to the Duc Seattle guys.
